Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. They made the move to Oxfordshire when she was five where she attended at the Dragon School. Emma was only six when she decided that she wanted to make it as an actress. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught singing and acting. When she was ten, she was performing and taking part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) is the film version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel premiered for the first for the first time on January 1, 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after seven auditions that she'd been chosen for these roles. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The film was also the most popular film of 2001. The opening weekday and weekend the sales were unbeatable. The film was well-received by people who have read it, along with the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British publication, gave Emma high marks for her exceptional performance. Then Emma was nominated for five awards for her performance in the film winning The Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in a Feature Film.
